Winter Wonderland

We've got about 6-8" of snow outside. The sun is shining today so hopefully most of it will melt off the roads so I can go to the grocery store! See, the thing is, I don't drive on snow and ice if I don't have to. So I've been in the house since Sunday. Yuck. I'm totally ready to get out of here!!!

Why does working out make me hungry? It sucks cuz I work my booty off for half an hour to get some of this danged weight off me, just to climb off and put some of it back on. I know, I know, I should eat carrots and celery and crap like that...empty calories or whatever. But Chex Mix tastes so much better. I must be PMSing because I want to eat anything I can get my hands on. I'm tellin ya, I'm gonna be a crazy pregnant woman someday!

So mom told me that my Uncle Mark is coming down with his wife tonight to take her (mom) out to dinner. I told her that I always feel left out cuz he's always coming down to play with her but never mentions wanting to see me and Pete anymore. I think it's cuz he's not gay anymore. Or something. Who knows. Anyway, mom said that Pete and I should just come on up to her house and go out to dinner with them! For sure! So that's the plan now...we're crashing their party. And mom will be with me and doing well mentally and physically so Mark can't be all pissy and weird at me for not taking better care of her. Grrr. I'm trying not to still be mad at him for that.

So, anyway, Merlyn's out of control. He's peeing on everything again. Mostly just on Pete's stuff or plastic bags. But still. It's totally gross and annoying. He spent about 10 hours in the "Cage O' Discipline" yesterday and when I let him out in the evening, he promptly went to pee on a WalMart bag in the front room. Needless to say, he spent the rest of the evening and overnight in the Cage again. Bad kitty. He's been out all morning and the worst thing he's done is chew on a new roll of toilet paper. I'm so tired of kittenhood. I'm ready for him to be a full grown, smart and semi-responsible cat who thinks he's too damned good to pee on random objects. Bad kitty!!

Okay this is long enough. But wait! My one fan had some questions!

To answer her... My nails are good! I'm loving not having the fakies anymore. I don't actually miss them! But my real nails are frail and super soft now which is annoying. I have to fuss with them daily to try and get them stronger.
And yes I won something on Ebay. It wasn't the first thing I bid on that I last told you about but it was something else that I've been looking for for over a year for my mom. It's a S&P shaker set that matches her dinnerware which has been discontinued for a while now. I got the set for $5!!!! Brand new even!!! I'm stoked. I'm looking at other things on Ebay and I think I've got hubby all pumped to start selling some of his old computer crap on there, too! What fun!

Unusual days

Well, it's snowing all day. It's pretty. I'm glad I don't have to be out in it. Pete's at the Gears, Gadgets and Goods or whatever downtown with his dad today. I hope he doesn't bring home a bunch of crap we don't need (like $200 sunglasses!).

I'm making chili and pumpkin pie right now. I had my gel nails removed on thursday. This marks the end of a 6 year era. She gave me a super dupe manicure and polished my real nails with some light pink polish. She told me not to pick at the polish or the nail underneath. But now the polish is already starting to flake off!!! I want to pick soooooooo badly!! AIYEEEEE!!

This morning I woke up at 5:30am and couldn't get back to sleep. So at 6:30 I finally crawled out of bed and did some holiday shopping online. I made my first bid on something on Ebay! :O Now I'm hooked! I've just added a few more things to my Ebay wishlist to keep an eye on for mom and Pete for Christmas! Damn this internet! It keeps sucking me in for more!!!

Aye Chihuahua!

So much homework! I mean, it's all educational and I'm learning from it and everything. I just don't want to do it anymore! I'm sooooo ready for the semester break! Just have to get through these last three weeks of work. Ugh. I got most of my Art Center paper written today. It's nice to just start on something you don't want to do just to get it done...rather than put it off indefinitely, only to panic at the last minute and end up with a crappy paper. I have learned so much about GOING TO SCHOOL in the last few years. My parents are so proud!

Twangers and Balls

I found this link on another blog: http://rainbow.arch.scriptmania.com/rainbow_tv_episode.html

You really should check it out. And watch the video once it's done loading. I can't believe this is real! I wonder what other episodes were about?!

What the Bleep Do We Know?

Have you seen What the Bleep Do We Know?? That movie totally rocked my world. I had to see it for my Admin:HR class and write a review of what I thought of the movie. I got a perfect grade on that review and my instructor included a note at the bottom telling me that there's going to be a conference with all the speakers from the movie! She said she's going and she think me and Honey should go too. She gave me a link to the conference info but I don't have that near me right now. When I find it, I'll update this post. Check out that link...then go see the movie...mindblowing!

Wonderboy and Young Nastyman

High above the mucky-muck, castle made of clouds,
There sits Wonderboy, sitting oh so proudly.
Not much to say when you're high above the mucky-muck.
YEAAAAH!
Wonderboy...what is the secret of your power?
Wonderboy...won't you take me far away from the mucky-muck now?

Now it's time for me to tell you about Young Nastyman...
Archrival and nemesis of Wonderboy, with powers comparable to Wonderboy.
What powers you ask? I dunno...how bout the power of flight?
That do anything for ya? That's levitation, holmes.
How bout the power to kill a yak from 200 yards away...
WITH MIND BULLETS!
That's telekenisis, Kyle.
How bout the power...to move you?

History of Wonderboy and Young Nastyman.
Riggah-goo-goo, riggah-goo-goo.
A secret to be told, a gold chest to be bold.
And blasting forth with three part harmony, YEOW!
Wonderboy, what is the secret of your power?
Wonderboy, won't you take me far away from the mucky-muck now?

Well, Wonderboy and Young Nastyman joined forces;
They formed a band the likes of which have never been seen,
and they called themselves Tenacious D.
Come fly with me, fly!

Could this be a New Addiction??

So my friend maggie showed me her blog on this site and I wanted to post a comment to hers. Unfortunately, I couldn't post one annonymously so I had to sign up for my own blog! FOR SHAME! That woman introduced me to iwin.com and isketch.com, both of which I became addicted to in a matter of minutes! And now this! What will become of me?!? Will I get my studies done? Will my Sims get any more attention? Will my husband, for that matter?! Woe is me...

Anyway, this could be fun. As long as no one reads it...I guess???

I have nothing really interesting to say. My dog is sleeping all curled up in a little ball. One cat is sitting atop the printer looking longingly out of the window. She still hasn't gotten used to the time change...it's only 4:00 and she doesn't eat until 5:00. She thinks it's time for dinner.

I'm preparing for a small dinnner party tonight. A long-time family friend's wife fell on the ice last week and seriouly damaged her back. She's been in the hospital (now at Craig) undergoing physical therapy and trying to regain the use of her legs. So her hubby, Steve, is depressed from what my dad says and I thought since they made the long trip up to Fort Collins to check on Pete when he had his gallbladder surgery last year, the least I can do is cook dinner for Steve! So I've boiled a pork roast all day and will make shredded bbq pork out of it. Dad's bringing corn and green beans and I made brownies. Yum! I'll only eat a small portion, though, of all of it since I'm trying to be more conscious of what I'm eating lately.

I have class tomorrow. Only two more Saturday classes to go this semester! Whew! It's been a hard semester. For example, today I took an exam online for my art class. Now, my nurtition online exams are always multiple choice and I can fly through them in about 20-30 mins. But this danged thing was 10 short answer questions that required an emense amount of deatil and explaination! It took me an hour and a half to complete it (including short breaks to let the dog out, let him back in, break up a cat fight, go potty, etc). I'm glad it's over and I'm really only unsure about one question. We'll see....

Okay, that's enough for today. Who knows if I'll write more tomorrow...or the next day...or ever. Hehehe
